Great Expectations with 808 Ltd.
For the BBC adaptation of Great Expectations, 808 Ltd provided compositing and visual effects integration across a range of shots, helping bring Victorian England to life.
Working with elements supplied by our collaborators at Atelier VFX, our team completed complex compositing work including green screen integration, digital ships, environment extensions, and seamless plate integration. The work required careful attention to period authenticity, ensuring every visual effect supported the storytelling without drawing attention to itself.
From integrating CG vessels into expansive coastal scenes to extending practical locations into larger period environments, our focus was on creating invisible visual effects that blended naturally with the photography and production design.
